Q: Do you ever feel like Christian websites or magazines are unreliable?
I am a Christian and while I would like to support Christian media, I have been burned many times by the way they report information. I would sya.. Lieing by ommision or exagerating details and quite frankly I am sick of every Christian magazine telling me who to vote for.

A: I became jaded and cynical about christian news through the 80's movement of anti-Rock music. The fabrications and misinformation spread as truth left me questioning everything. the only christian magazine I enjoy now is Cornerstone Magazine. they're the ones who outed the Mike Warenke lies.

A: Igniteyourfaith.com You can't get it sent to you free, but basically the entire magazine is online. :)

I have a daughter who is suffering from self esteem issues and needs to see and read about positive black teens. Any ideas?

A: I'm not sure if she is into hip-hop, but here are a couple good links I love! They are music oriented, but I know they have lots of other links that would help too. www.holycultureradio.com www.neworldmusic.net www.gospelflava.com www.radioy.com ( I love to listen online to yhot...christian hip-hop & pop) Our culture really makes young girls feel less than. Music is also such a big part of people. Hopefully this music will uplift her!

Q: what sort of christian magazines appeal to boys age 12?


A: Good answers so far. I also really like the Plugged In magazine that Focus on the Family puts out, and soon this guy will be ready (maybe already now, depends on what he is exposed to) for it. Also, they are coming out with all of these Bibles that are really magazines, and one might be the thing to get him into the Word.

Q: Christians: What Christian magazines do you like to read, if any?

A: It's been hard for me to find one I'm really fond of - picky reader that I am!! I guess I've enjoyed Christian International's quarterly newsletter / magazine the most. I've also enjoyed MorningStar's (Rick Joyner) Newsletters/ Magazines in the past. Christianity Today has been o.k. I've enjoyed an occasional article here and there (this month's June '08- interview with Tim Keller for example) but overall it seems very mediocre and "bland" to me. Charisma has also fallen short of their potential in my humble opinion. Too many adds for one and not much substance in their articles. I think an ideal periodical would have a mix of quality Christian teaching / articles from people of the caliber of Tim Keller, John Piper, Malcolm Smith, Douglas Gresham, and Ravi Zacharius combined with inspiring true life stories from folks like Brother Yun, Rees Howells, and Jane Rumph.And missionary stories! We need real life stories about what God is doing today around the world!! Also mixed in there would be cutting edge testamonies of what God is doing supernaturally through folks like Rick Joyner, Bill Hamon, Steve Thompson, Jack Deere, Cindy Jacobs, Bill Johnson, etc. And of course quality relationship advice from people like Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend and John Eldredge. That'd be my ideal Christian magazine! Great Question!!

Q: christian siriano in magazines/or just good fashion magz?
Hey I'm in grade 9 and am doing an art project...involving implied and real texture so I thought I would use fashion. Part of the project is like a collage so I was wondering if christian siriano of project runway was in any magazines right now? I'm kinda guessing not tooo many people know, so just a good fashion magazine that doesn't have words all over the picz would be nice, THANx A lOt :)

A: Christian Siriano actually will be featured in an upcoming issue of Elle, but sadly it's not the April 2008 issue, which is currently out now. However, I was flipping through an issue of US Weekly the other day, and I came across an article (with a lot of pictures) about Christian Siriano. A: I grew up on Brio as a teen girl. THere's also Breakaway Mag for guys. Both from Focus on the Family.

A: Have you ever read Revolve? It is like a Bible, but a magazine, too, because as you read the Bible, it has all kinds of really cool stuff! If you haven't heard of it, you might want to try to read or look at one. I think that they come out yearly, and I got one for Christmas, and I really like it! I hope this helps!
