Q: Can anyone give me a modern example where there is fusion of Islam religion and politics?
I need some modern examples of countries where there is still a fusion of the Islam religion with politics. For examples in Medina, the Prophet Muhammed was both a religious leader and ruled the city. A: All Islamic countries fuse religion and politics. The most blatant however, are Saudi Arabia a Sunni Wahhabi theocracy, Iran a Shiite theocracy and Afghanistan which is also a theocracy. All other Islamic countries incorporate Islamic shariah law to some extent, and thus use religion in politics. EDIT: A simple google search with the name of each of these countries will provide you with a lot of links you can follow.

Q: Why is the Islam religion persicuted more that jews and christians.?
I am a christian myself but i belive the islam religion is persicuted more.

A: thanks for asking about islam regarding your question Islam commands the Muslims to be just with people of other faiths, whether they be Jews, Christians, or pagans. Islam calls us to treat them kindly and try to win their hearts as long as they do not take up arms against us. Allah says: Allah forbids you not with regard to those who neither fight against you for your faith nor drive you out of your homes from dealing kindly and justly with them, for Allah loves those who are just. [Surah al-Mumtahanah: 9-10] 002.256 There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing We are ordered to uphold our covenants with the non-Muslims and not betray them or transgress against them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) gave a stern warning to us against killing a non-Muslim with whom we are at peace. He said: Whoever kills one with whom we have a covenant will not smell the scent of Paradise. [Sahih Muslim] The faith of a Muslim is not acceptable unless he believes in all of the Prophets who were sent before (peace be upon them all). Allah says: O you who believe! Believe in Allah, His Messenger, the scripture that He revealed to His messenger and the scripture that he revealed before. Whoever disbelieves in Allah, His angels, His books, His Messengers, and the Last Day has gone far astray. [Surah al-Nisa] in addition to that you will find that Quran doesnt generalize and fair regarding describing people 003.113 They are not [all] the same; among the People of the Scripture is a community standing [in obedience], reciting the verses of Allah during periods of the night and prostrating [in prayer]. 003.199 And indeed, among the People of the Scripture are those who believe in Allah and what was revealed to you and what was revealed to them, [being] humbly submissive to Allah . They do not exchange the verses of Allah for a small price. Those will have their reward with their Lord. Indeed, Allah is swift in account. Q: Who is the Author of the Islam religion?
I understand that Islam claims to be a religion of peace...and yet I've also read that they are commanded to find and kill the infidels. What force of the Universe is behind the religion of Islam in your opinion?

A: That, I cannot say for sure, but I do know this, Islam is successful because it offers something for everyone. As a Christian, I have found things I can relate to in Islam, but I have found things I cannot relate to and would not be authored by my God. But these days, you have to wonder - I'm beginning to think it's the force known as a "Black Hole". Think about it. That rock in Mecca that they run around every year. They believe it came from outer space ("the heavens"). It probably came from a black hole. And Islam originated in the desert, a land of nothingness, like an earth bound black hole. And that's another thing, our galaxy, the Milky Way, supposedly has a huge black hole within it. Can ya see where I'm going with this? There's one problem. I can't figure out if Islam is for or against this bizarre "black hole" concept. Are they for resisting the black hole of violence or are they for violence? Or maybe a little of both - thus explaining all the violence over there. And most of Islam is considered Sunni (the sun) - just taking it at face value folks. Whatever the case, it appears to be a very, very bad thing that Islam can somehow not accept other religions and ways of life and play nice - it really shows a horrible lack of knowledge, understanding, kindness, etc... Which is surprising, because the Islamic culture has contributed a lot over the centuries to art, science and other areas of learning. Maybe it's just uncontrolled greed on their part - they want it all and we're stupid enough to hand it to them by paying for the dam gas!!! And speaking of gas - that mucktadda guy - I recently saw a hindu painting of the "god of war" and you know what? he looks just like the dude. SHAME ON THEM for letting this jerk have any kind of position of influence and power!!! Just out of curiousity, I read the Koran once and except for the "killing of infidels" part and the fact that the Prophets ended with St.John the Baptist, I found several valuable ways of thought. I think the religion of Islam should be adopted as another one of the many orders of the Catholic Church - Jesuit, Dominican, Franciscan, etc... They could be the Islamicans, ya know? Who knows? We can only pray for and work toward peace peace be with you...

I'm learning about ancient Greece and all that stuff. I was wondering if people could help me with the religion. I'm not very familiar with it.

A: We are act ally learning about this in class and ill tell u wat i no : i do no that a man prays 5 times a day , during Ramadan u must get up before dawn and eat then u can have anything till that night hopes this helps

A: Muslims believe that God revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad, God's final prophet, and regard the Qur'an and the Sunnah (words and deeds of Muhammad) as the fundamental sources of Islam. They do not regard Muhammad as the founder of a new religion, but as the restorer of the original monotheistic faith of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets. Islamic tradition holds that Jews and Christians distorted the texts God gave to these prophets by either altering the text, using a false interpretation, or both. The Roman Catholic Church traces its history to Jesus and the Twelve Apostles, and sees the bishops of the Church as the successors of the Apostles in general, and the Pope as the successor of Saint Peter, leader of the Apostles, in particular. Catholics are obliged to endeavour to be true disciples of Jesus. They seek forgiveness of their sins and follow the example and teaching of Jesus. They believe that Jesus has provided seven sacraments which give Grace from God to the believer.

Q: How does the religion Islam come into the daily lives of the followers?
It could be ancient or present. In history we have to do a presentation about the religion and how it comes into the daily life. It's ancient stuff though. It could be about when they pray, or to who and all that. The times..

A: via two ways: 1- by doing specific worshippings that connects one to Allah all the time. i.e. 5 prayers aday, fasting in Ramadan, Annual giving money to poor,... Whoever connects to Allah that way, he becomes more merciful to others, thinkful of big matters not caring silly ones. Contacting 5 times a day with Allah will develope the feeling of Love and fear of Allah, so the muslim will stay away from sins and hurting people. 2- Muslim is worshipping Allah all his life time, all day long, that is he obeys Allah in every single action. All above worship forms shall raise Muslims on something. i.e. fasting for a whole month which means not to drink, eat, nor to have sex from dawn to sunset...Fasting teach muslims how to control their desires, so that they give priority to the profit of the society they live in over their own profits. a trader will resist cheating, even if this means more wealth for him, a government worker will never betray his society even if his salary is very little, and the price of betrayal is high. Muslims control anger very easily, all body needs are contrlled easily by Muslims b/c they were raised to it. a good example onhow Islam affects the followers, is the change happened to the arabs of Makkah and Arabain semi-Island, once one became a muslim. Arabs, that time were very cruel, they barried their little daughters alive fearing poverity. they fought each other on silly things like water and food. they used to rape every woman slave b/c she is a slave. People of Makkah said that Omar Ibn Alkhattab will never convert to Islam unless his donkey does. b/c he was very cruel, once Omar converted to Islam he became merciful and sensitive,read this story about Omar. When Omar became a caliph of Muslims, (president of the country of Islam), he was walking at night between houses to know himself how his people lived. once he was praying with a companion, he heared crying of a baby, the crying stoppped the weny louder, then stopped and so on. he called for the mother of the baby and said:" you, mother of the baby, plz feed him, let he rets in peace" She answered that she will. but the crying came back again, he asked her to feed him again asking" why r u torturing him like that?" the mother said with tears(she did not know that he was Omar): "I want to wean him" he asked her: " why?" She answered:" b/c Omar does not give money helpings except for weaned" He said: " Be patient, and do not wean him" then he went off with tears and crying beating him of words, he prayed the dawn prayer, and said: O bad Omar, how many muslim babies have u killed? then he orderd to announce that:" do not wen ur babies before it is time, allowances will be given to them too." then he wrote this order all among the country of Islam. When Omar diedhis face had two black lines representing channels of tears.

Q: Was Islam the Religion of the people in the Philippines pre-Spanish colonization?
I read this before, what about the are of Cavite, was the religion islam? i meant what about the people in cavite

A: The Philippines really embraced the Islam religion. It was even said that manila was originally a Muslim city even before the Spanish people came to the Philippines and maybe the people of Cavite were influenced by the Manileños. Islam isn't the religion of Filipinos in the Pre-spanish era but most of the Provinces are Muslims.

Q: Who here agrees that Islam is the most dangerous, murderous religion today?
Remember, I'm not talking about the past. In the past Christianity has done much more horrible things. But today, out of all religions - Islam is definitely the most dangerous and deadly.

A: no WWI christian,ww2,christian,Korea christian nation wanted to stop communism and didn't.Vietnam same thing.gulf war Iraq wanted back its land christian nation butted in.dint say it was our duty as a good neighbor see Bosnia,Somalia,Rwanda,and others.if you mean today 12/29/06 Iraq its our decision to stay or go.we invaded Iraq.

A: Islam is a beautiful and peaceful religion. I hate how Christians say that Muslims should convert to Christianity because "Jesus is the Lord and Savior". Muslims have great respect for Jesus, and pay much homage to him. I am sick of all these Christians badmouthing Islam and saying how all Muslims should convert to Islam. I am much happier since I have converted to Islam, and have much respect for other religions. In my opinion, Islam is a religion of love and peace.

Q: which religions make it compulsory to accept christianity as holy religion except islam?
islam is the non-christians faith which makes it an article of faith to accept christianity as holy religion.are they any other religions except islam which say that too ? and what exactly muslims mean by saying "christianity was once islam"?

A: Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet of god, and bought down the same message as other prophets such as Abraham, Moses, David, Soloman - all mentioned in the Qur'an.. There is even a chapter in the Qur'an called Mary (Maryum) where god describes the miraculous birth of Jesus (Isa) Islam means Submission to the will of Allah (meaning the-almighty) Muslims believe that Allah sent down the same message to many prophets; Jesus being one of them! Q: Would the world be a better place without the religion of Islam?
I can’t think of one good think the religion of islam has done for the world, its adherents simply cause atrocities. I know there are a lot of good people out there who practice the Muslim faith. But to be frank I think the world would be a lot better place if Muhammed had never founded the religion in the first place? Thoughts Bob Sacamano – Christianity has had more wars fought on its behalf then any other religion, but Christianity is also the foundation for most of the laws that make the West civilized.

A: The world would be a better place with out all religeon. It is the root of all evil and was created by few to control the masses. If only the brain washed could see! It is the cause of most wars, battles and terrorist attacks through out history!

Q: Are all vegitarians of the islam religion?
It seems that the "i dont eat meat because it was alive group" wants to side with the "i live in desert and ride a camel group" Has anyone else noticed this? Both report me because I am from the south.

A: Far as I can tell...Arabs love goat meat...never heard of a connection between Islam and Vegan. More likely Vegans would be Buddist, Jain, Unitarian, or Ba'hia. I'm not too sure though cause I'm from the south too...give me some BBQ'd ribs anyday!!! LOL

Q: What prevents people around the world from entering in Islam since it is the only right religion on earth?
Islam is the last religion sent to the whole world by God (Allah). It integrates with judism and christianity and completes them. Moslems believe in Jesus and moses as prohpets. If you read the Quraán, you will definitely realize that it touches your heart just because it is Allah's words to people. Quraán is the only holy book that no change to even ONE letter ever happened since it was inspired to prophet Mohammed 1427 years ago. Quraán is still one of the miracles of Islam in the modern world side by side with Zamzam well, in Makkah; the well that still stands to water millions of people (pilgrims) every year to perform hajj (pilgrimage).Islam is the religion of peace, and love amongst humanity. It should NOT be looked at through a group of extreemists that only represent themselves and nobody else. Please, look take some honest time with yourself before you answer the question, and read first about Islam before you wonder why I ask that question! I only seek paradise for everyone.
