WELCOME TO THE COADY ROUNDBALL CLASSIC

The Coady Roundball Classic (“CRC”), is the largest and longest running gay and lesbian annual basketball tournament in the world.   This year’s tournament, our 18th anniversary, will be held April 5th and 6th, 2008; the same weekend as the NCAA Basketball Final Four.  All games will be held at the University of Illinois-Chicago Gymnasium, located at 901 W. Roosevelt Rd., Chicago, IL.

The CRC is an NGBA sanctioned event and serves as the National Gay Basketball Association Championship Tournament.   

The CRC has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years.  Prior year tournaments have featured up to 40 teams participating in 7 divisions.  Cities represented include:  Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Long Beach, Los Angeles, New York, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Houston, Dallas, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Memphis, London, England and many more.

Chicago’s gay and lesbian community is again excited to host the CRC and its players.  The tournament offers a great basketball experience for all players of all skill levels and all ages.  Everyone is welcome to come, compete and partake in a great weekend.
